Welcome to Villa Nel Bosco, a Tuscan-Style home with 4 bedrooms that can sleep up to 8 people. It is located on Trinity Road, which connects Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
What We Love About This House
Located halfway between Oakville in Napa Valley and Glen Ellen in Sonoma County, this romantic Tuscan-style retreat is a one-of-a-kind historic estate. This beautifully decorated home and its lavish grounds create a setting where you will want to linger and forge memories of your own. The property even was featured on HGTV's House Hunters on Vacation!
Trinity Road takes you from the Sonoma Valley to the crest of the mountain and down the eastern slope to Napa Valley. Turning into Villa Nel Bosco, you’ll discover a broad, open meadow that sweeps down through a working vineyard of premium Syrah grapes and onward to a lush expanse of emerald green lawn. At the foot of the meadow is a Tuscan-style home; its warm, earthen tones and arched entryway welcomes visitors into this idyllic estate.
Exterior Details
Luxurious outdoor amenities, such as the great lawn, the bocce ball court, dining pergola, swimming pool with a sunken whirlpool spa, an outdoor shower and changing room, and fire pit, are enhanced by the backdrop of mature oak and pine trees that create a totally private environment.
Interior Details
As you enter the home, a curving staircase descends from the second floor, creating a graceful entryway, which opens to the various main floor rooms. The wall above, along with many corners of the estate, is hung with original art commissioned for the home.
Each room has windows and doors that open to the grounds. Rich green wooden exterior shutters imported from Italy are practical and decorative. The interior walls are hand-done in Venetian plaster with a soft, sand tone and all the floors have radiant heat, making the house comfortable in any season.
The main floor is designed for an easy flow. The kitchen is well equipped for gourmet preparation or a simple and delicious meal of local ingredients. Stainless steel appliances and oak cabinetry are a visual contrast to the custom concrete counters and floors. Have a casual breakfast or lunch break at the counter, or just kibitz with the cook. The kitchen is open to the dining area and its hand-hewn table and leather chairs.
Beyond the dining room is a media room/den with a large flatscreen TV and media center. The house is wired for sound that can be controlled from individual rooms. A guest half-bath with copper sink and custom vanity is located between the kitchen and the downstairs bedroom.
Carved, rolling wood doors off the entryway of the house lead you into the front guest bedroom. This bedroom shares the downstairs half bathroom with the other rooms on the first floor. The two twin beds face the window to the lawn and vineyards and a window seat overlooks the garden. The room has two armoires, one with a flatscreen TV.
A separate living room offers tufted leather couches with a slat table between them on a thick carpet.
The second floor staircase leads to a landing and an alcove with an antique desk near three arched glass doors leading out to a wrought-iron balcony.
The primary bedroom has a king bed with a linen headboard. The room offers a walk-in closet, cozy seating areas and a wooden cabinet that contains a flatscreen TV. The vaulted ceiling gives a feeling of space and intimacy at the same time. There is a glass door that opens to a petit balcony overlooking the bocce court.
An oversized soaking tub in the primary bath allows you to gaze out at the vine-covered pergola and pool below. There’s a glass-walled shower with European-style fixtures, a custom concrete vanity with two sinks and a separate toilet.
A second upstairs bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and a blend of elements such as an Indonesian headboard, a zinc chest with crisp linens, and an inviting air. There are ample closets and a flatscreen TV. The third upstairs bedroom has a fresh country quality and contains a queen bed. This room has a flatscreen TV, double closets and a vaulted wood ceiling and a glass door opening to the sleeping porch. These 2 guest bedrooms share a spacious bath with two ceramic sinks and a custom marble counter. The stucco walls are finished in a cool, blue, and the theme is carried into the separate shower and toilet with light blue stone tile.
With so many exceptional and captivating aspects to experience, you will want to linger at Villa Nel Bosco, finding your own set of memories to take with you.
Please note that internet service is spotty on the drive up Trinity Road, as a result, Uber and Lyft may not be able to find this residence. We recommend that guests rent a car when staying here.
Please note that due to dry conditions, we do not allow the use of the wood burning fireplaces in this home outside of winter stays.
Guests staying at Nel Bosco will enjoy access to BeautifulPlaces pre-arrival assistance. Our local staff can assist with pre-trip suggestions for winery visits, private chef dinners and any other special experiences you desire. On arrival day you’ll find a bottle of local wine and gourmet coffee waiting for you in your villa, and our team is available during your stay to answer any questions you have.
